The vision for AIN Dubai began in 2013 as part of Dubai's ambitious plan to create world-class attractions that would cement the city's position as a global tourism destination. The project was developed by Meraas Holding in collaboration with Hyundai Engineering & Construction.
Construction of this engineering marvel took over six years, involving thousands of workers and cutting-edge technology. The wheel's structure required 11,200 tonnes of steel, and its foundation extends 50 meters below ground level to ensure stability and safety.
Each of the 48 cabins was manufactured in Switzerland and can accommodate up to 40 guests, featuring climate-controlled interiors and floor-to-ceiling glass panels for unobstructed views. The wheel rotates at a gentle speed, completing one full rotation in approximately 38 minutes.
AIN Dubai represents a triumph of modern engineering and design. The observation wheel features a unique spoke-less design, with the rim supported by a complex cable system that creates its distinctive appearance. This innovative approach not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also maximizes the viewing experience from inside the cabins.
The structure is designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, including high winds and temperatures exceeding 50°C. Advanced LED lighting systems illuminate the wheel at night, creating a spectacular light show visible across Dubai Marina and beyond.
A journey on AIN Dubai offers more than just views – it's an immersive experience that showcases Dubai's past, present, and future. From the top, visitors can see iconic landmarks including the Burj Khalifa, Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, and the vast Arabian Gulf stretching to the horizon.
The experience includes various cabin options, from standard observation cabins to premium private cabins with dining experiences, making it perfect for families, couples, corporate events, and special celebrations.
